Industrial Promotion Center Region 7 and Ubon Ratchathani University Science Park organized a Press Conference to announce the Business Improvement Project: Research to Business. The event was held at Central Plaza, Ubon Ratchathani on 3 July 2019. The distinguished guests who participated in the event were directors from various government organizations involved in industrial and commercial sectors and people who were interested in innovation and commerce. The announcement of the project was delivered by Mr. Roongrote Itharat, Director of Industrial Promotion Center Region 7. The project aimed to create connections between research and business, to create new commercial products integrated from research, and to strengthen the capacity of SMEs in terms of market expansion.
Mr. Roongrote Itharat said that government sectors have been actively developing the country based on the Thailand 4.0 model, which is the core concept of the development. The government drives Thailand’s economy by using appropriate and up-to-date policies in order to push the country to escape from the middle-income trap. By the Thailand 4.0 model, the government intends to transform Thailand’s economic structure into a Value-Based Economy where economic systems are driven by innovations. New technologies will be employed to empower the competitive capacity toward other countries. Therefore, new entrepreneurs or startups should possess a growth mindset, together with an understanding of technology and innovation. With this knowledge, they will be able to expand their business’ growth and add values to their products.
The project consists of Innovation Collaboration Forum, Exhibition Showcase, Product Lift Up Camp,Business Idea Severity, and Business Model. Industrial Promotion Center Region 7 and Ubon Ratchathani University Science Park are pleased to welcome all entrepreneurs to participate in the proposed activities.
