UBU welcomed lecturers and students from the English for Specific Purposes Department, University of Foreign Language Studies – The University of Danang, Vietnam

On 1 July 2019, the International Relations Office (IR) and the Faculty of Liberal Arts co-organized an orientation to lecturers and students from the English for Specific Purposes Department, University of Foreign Language Studies (UFLS) – The University of Danang, Vietnam, who came to UBU to complete a practicum from 30 June 2019 to 29 July 2019. The event was held at the Faculty of Liberal Arts.

Assistant Professor Dr. Chalermchai Wongrak, Assistant to the President for International Relations and International Education,delivered a welcome speech to Dr. Lê Văn Bá , Dr. Trần Văn Thành, and 33 of their university students. Afterward, a general overview of UBU’s information and guidance on studying and living on campus were introduced by Ms. Thaviny Shaipitisiri, English Consultant at IR office.

Assistant Professor Dr. Surasak Khamkhong, Dean of Faculty of Liberal Arts, stated that UBU and UFLS have co-organized this project for many years and look forward to the coming years. The month-long courses offered to the students are English for Career Preparation and Intercultural Communication. In addition to the development of academic issues, the improvement of language ability, and the understanding and exchange of cultures, the project helps create a sustainable and strong relationship between the two institutions.

Ultimately, the students will have ample opportunities to explore the local culture and traditions though various activities provided by UBU.
