The meeting with the Ambassador was held at Lai Thong Hotel from 2 pm-4pm. The representatives from UBU included Assistant Professor Dr. Chutinun Prasitpuriprecha, President, Associate Professor Dr. Ariyaporn Pongrat, Vice President for Academic Affairs, Assistant Professor Dr. Chalermchai Wongrak, Assistant to the President for International Relations and Education, Dr Piyanat Soikham, Assistant to the President for Academic Affairs and Ms. Patcharin Jongjai, Head of the International Relations Office. The visit sought to strengthen the partnership between UBU and the Royal Bhutanese Embassy which was established in 2018 and to demonstrate support for three Bhutanese students who received scholarships from UBU. This event marked the second visit of the Ambassador and his fellow Bhutanese officials since their last visit on 27 July 2018.

Currently, UBU has offered four scholarships for Bhutanese students on the Embassy’s request. This year, there are three scholarship recipients who are enrolled as current UBU students. UBU looks forward to welcoming more students in the 2020 academic year and hope these collaborations with the Embassy will promote strong relationships and collaborations.
