UBU welcomes the Rector of Hue University-University of Foreign Languages

UBU is very grateful to welcome Dr. Bao Kham, Rector of Hue University-University of Foreign Languages (HUCFL), and Mr Lai Quoc Loc, Deputy Director of the Office of Research Management, Technology, and International Cooperation, on their visit to Ubon Ratchathani University (UBU).The event was held at the Phiboonmangsahan Meeting Room, the Office of the President Building on 25 July 2019 at 2 pm to 3 pm. The main objective of the visit was to consult the possibility of expanding collaborative activities between HUCFL and UBU. On behalf of UBU, Assistant Professor Dr. Chutinun Prasitpuriprecha, President, delivered a welcome speech to Dr. Bao Kham and Mr. Lai Quoc Loc. Furthermore,Assistant Professor Dr. Chalermchai Wongrak, Assistant to the President for International Relations and Education, Assistant Professor Dr. Surasak Khamkhong, Dean of Faculty of Liberal Arts, lecturers and staff from the Faculty of Liberal Arts, and International Relations officers from the Office of International Relations also present to 1) welcome the Rector and his distinguished guest and 2) directly discuss the future possibilities of collaborative activities between the two universities.

For many years, UBU and HUCFL have accomplished a number of collaborative activities together through student and staff exchange programs and practicums, study visits, professor visits, cultural exchanges, seminars, and workshops. Since 2013 to present, UBU has sent about 50 staff/students to HUCFL and UBU has received about 40 staff/students from HUCFL. On this special visit by HUCFL’s rector, UBU and HUCFL has agreed to expand the collaborative activities which include short-term study with credit transfer, student practicums, and short-courses for students.

UBU is delighted to strengthen collaborations with HUCFL and other international educational institutions in order to improve the quality of its curriculums that lead to the professional, academic, and cultural enhancement of its students and graduates.
