On 30 July 2019, the Faculty of Management Science and the International Relations Office (IR) co-organized a welcoming orientation for 4 exchange students from Jingchu University of Technology (JUT), P.R. China. These students are at UBU to complete a short-term study from 28 July 2019 to 29 August 2019. The event was held at the Faculty of Management Science. On this special occasion, Assistant Professor Dr. Chalermchai Wongrak, Assistant to the President for International Relations and Education, presided the opening of the meeting through an insightful speech expressing his gratitude for the students and his hopes for further collaborations in the future. Shortly after, Associate Professor Dr. Roongrasamee Boondao, Dean of Faculty of Management Science, delivered a warm welcome speech and expressed appreciation of the students studying at the university on behalf of the faculty. Furthermore, the faculty’s staff, IR officers, UBU Management Science students, and past Thai students who have been to JUT participated in the welcoming event.
On behalf of the IR Office, Ms. Thaviny Shaipitisiri, English Consultant at IR office, gave a general overview of UBU’s information and provided guidance on studying and living on campus.
In the past up to now, UBU and JUT have accomplished a number of collaborative activities together through student exchange programs and professor visits. From 2017 to 2019, UBU has sent 17 students to complete their short-term exchange program at JUT while JUT has sent 2 lecturers and 12 students to UBU.
In the future, UBU wishes to expand the collaborative activities with JUT which will include short-term study with credit transfer, joint research and publications, and other cultural exchange activities.
Once again, UBU welcomes the students from JUT to UBU and wishes them a happy and enriching experience at UBU.
