UBU participated in the Phan Phum and Candle-lighting Ceremony to express best wishes to Her Majesty Queen Sikirit, the Queen Mother on the auspicious occasion of her 87th birthday

Associate Professor Dr. Chawalit Thinvongpituk, Vice President for Research, Innovations, and Academic Services, together with Dr. Piyanat Soikham, Assistant to the President for Academic Affairs, and Assistant Professor Dr. Sanguan Thanee, Dean of Faculty of Nursing, led UBU staff to participate in the Phan Phum (gold and silver) and Candle-lighting ceremony for Her Majesty Queen Sikirit, the Queen Mother on theauspicious occasion of her 87th birthday this August 12thMr. Sarit Witoon, the Governor of Ubon Ratchathani Province, presided over this celebrative ceremony and led representatives of government sectors, private sectors, and participants to pay obeisance and lay Phan Phum to the royal portrait of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit. Afterward, they offered the royal praise, lighted candles of blessings in order to demonstrate their loyalty and gratitude, and offered well-wishes toHer Majesty Queen Sirikit.At the end of the ceremony, they all sang the Thai royal anthem and Sadudee Phra Mae Thai and shouted ‘Long Live the Queen Mother’ three times together. This honorable ceremony was held at Praipayorm Conference hall, Ubon Ratchathani Rajabhat University, on 12 August 2019.
