UBU promotes the sufficiency economy philosophy

On 16 September 2019, Assistant Professor Dr. Chutinun Prasitpuriprecha, President, honorably welcomed Ms. Ariyasiri Phipatnara, Executive Chairperson of the Foundation of Sufficiency Economy Family, for the special occasion of the Memorandum of Understanding Signing Ceremony. The objectives of the MoU are to distribute the sufficiency economy philosophy throughout the university, to promote the values of integrity, responsibility and voluntarism, and to generate an active young citizen network. Resulting from the MoU, UBU and the Foundation of Sufficiency Economy Family established the UBU Sufficiency Economy Family Center. To celebrate this harmonious endeavor, UBU administrators, staff members and students together with lecturers and students from Det-Udom School’s Sufficiency Economy Family Center joined theevent. The event was jointly held at the Warin Chamrap Meeting Room at the Office of the President Building. 

Assistant Professor Dr. Chutinun Prasitpuriprecha stated that the cooperation between UBU and the Foundation of Sufficiency Economy Familymarked the beginning of learning experiences UBU students can benefit from and contribute to beyond the traditional classroom setting. The UBU Sufficiency Economy Family Center will promote voluntary activities based on His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej’s guiding principles involving moderation, rationality, self-immunity, morality and knowledge. The center aims to maintain, sustain and continue the royal principles of the sufficiency economy and other royal guidance to continue the improvement of the people’s life quality around the country. Additionally, after the MoU signing ceremony, Ms. Ariyasiri Phipatnara notably donated essential items for flood victims in Ubon Ratchathani through the UBU Flood Relief Center. This act demonstrated her humanitarianism, commitment to service, and kindness. UBU is proud to be partnered with a community of people dedicated to serving those around them.
