On 15 November 2019, the Faculty of Agriculture at UBU organized a meeting to prepare for the 13th Agricultural Fair 2020titled Kaset Isantai (Southern Isan Agricultural Fair), which will be held from 7 – 16 February 2020 at UBU. Assistant Professor Dr. Chutinun Prasitpuriprecha, President, officially presided the meeting held at the Faculty of Agriculture. Mr. Narintorn Boonbrahm, Dean of Faculty of Agriculture, followed by reporting the objectives, the work plan and the list of activities to all of its participants. In collaboration with UBU, the fair is proudly sponsored and supported by government organizations under the Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives, and other government and private sectors.
Not only will people be able to witness agricultural products and food, plants, exhibitionswith the newest agricultural innovations, a hydroponic planting system, a mini zoo, a vegetable tunnel and beautiful flower gardens, but they will also learn more about the royal philosophy especially regarding sufficiency economy. In addition, participants will have opportunities to directly engage with agricultural experts and agricultural products by: asking in-depth questions pertaining to agriculture with representatives from organizations under the Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives, joining the free agricultural workshops, visiting the agricultural exhibitions, and participating in theagricultural skill competitions. Last but not least, participants can enjoy entertainment that will be provided by UBU students through cultural performances.
The fair is held once every year at the field near the Faculty of Agriculture at UBU. UBU is enthusiastically looking forward to welcoming all participants to the fair!
