On 16 February 2020, some UBU staff members participated in a merit making event at Thung Sri Mueang Park. Mr. Wiruj Wichaiboon, Associate Governor of Ubon Ratchathani Province presided over the event and led representatives from multiple government organizations and private sectors in Ubon Ratchathani to give alms and lotus flowers to monks.
Every Sunday, Ubon Ratchathani Province organizes this merit-making activity. The aims are to worship the Buddha and maintain traditional events where everyone in the province can get involved.
UBU is grateful to participate in various cultural activities organized by the community it Ubon Ratchathani as it is one of the university’s mission to preserve the arts, culture and local wisdom. At the same time, UBU looks forward to organizing more events on campus to carry out the same mission.
