On 3 February 2020, Ms. Charuayporn Santhaweesuk, Vice President for Student Development and Alumni Relations, led UBU staff members and UBU Thai Reserve Officer Training Corps Students (TROTCS) in joining the Thai Veterans Day ceremony held at the 22nd Military Cycle Headquarters, Warin Chamrap District, Ubon Ratchathani Province. They joined multiple heads of organizations and representatives from governmental offices and private sectors. The event aimed to honor the courage of Thai soldiers who fought for and protected our country. Additionally, it was to pay respects to those that lost their lives in World War II and to support their family members.

In accordance with the announcement made by the Royal Thai Government Gazette issued in 1948, every February 3rd is considered the official Thai Veterans Day. This day is significant as it marks the day Thai soldiers returned from World WarII. During this ceremonial event, participants make merit and engage in a wreath-making ceremony.

In this specific ceremony, UBU helpedwith reception, provided food services and supplied poppy flowers, which serves as the remembrance symbol for veterans. UBU is grateful for the service that Thai soldiers have provided and continue to provide for Thailand.
