On 17 April 2020, Assistant Professor Dr. Chutinun Prasitpuriprecha, President, Assistant Professor Dr. Adun Janyalertadun, Vice President for Administration, Dr. Nirun Phitakwatchara, MD., Dean of College of Medicine and Public Health together with the UBU research team and entrepreneurs who support the production of the UBU-UVC device went to Sunpasithiprasong Hospital. The purpose was to give the UBU-UVC: Smart Germicidal Irradiation Machine created by the UBU research team to the hospital as a device to eliminate or kill bacteria including the Covid-19 virus that may be left in the hospital’s laboratories and on their medical equipment.UBU delegations were warmly welcomed by Mr. Monchai Wiwattanasittipong, MD, Director, executive members and staff of the hospital.
On the same day, Associate Professor Dr. Chawalit Thinvongpituk, Vice President for Research, Innovations, and Academic Services, went to Ubon Ratchathani Cancer Hospital to give the machine to Mr. Pongsathorn Supaarthakorn, MD., Director of the hospital on behalf of the president.
So far, the UBU-UVC: Smart Germicidal Irradiation Machines were given to Warin Chamrap Hospital, the 50th Anniversary Mahavajiralongkorn Hospital and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Ubon Ratchathani Province to help control the outbreak of the Covid-19 virus.
UBU is delighted to contribute to the preventative measures taken to prevent the spread of the Covid-19 disease in Ubon Ratchathani and hopes that the community is able to stabilize itself and return to normal soon.
