Mr. Sarit Witoon, the Governor of Ubon Ratchathani Province, presided over the ceremony and led representatives from government organizations and private sectors as well as the general public to pay their respects tothe Chakri kings in front of a royal portrait ofKing Buddha Yodfa Chulaloke the Great (Rama I). The honorable activities consisted of a religious ceremony and a fresh flower tray laying ceremony.

The 6thof April is historically known for the coronation ceremony of Rama I who was the first king of Siam. During his reign, King Rama I formally established Bangkok to be the capital city of Siam, which later became known as present day, Thailand.

The Chakri kings have immensely contributed to the development of Thailand and its citizens and UBU is proud to participate in events that honor them.
