UBU welcomes its new freshmen

On 17 June 2020, UBU organized an online orientation for UBU freshmen who are enrolled in the 2020 academic year.The aims of the orientation were to provide useful information to the freshmen, introduce services and facilities provided by the university and share experiences from outstanding alumni.Assistant Professor Dr. Chutinun Prasitpuriprecha, the President of UBU, delivered her welcome speech and provided some guidance to the freshmen. Extraordinary, executive board members, deans, the chairperson of the UBU Student Club and the chairperson of the UBU Student Council participated in the event and expressed their warm welcome speeches to the freshmen. Service departments/divisions such as the Office of Computer and Networking, the Office of Academic Resources and the Division of Educational Services as well as facilities were introduced, followed by a video presentation about UBU, an introduction of the deans, a video presentation of “U Serves You Part I: Academic services,” and “Part II: Student welfare and security,” respectively. Afterwards was a live broadcast of the introduction of the Handy UBU System and the VOC System. The systems were set-up to receive any complaints or suggestions from students. Ms. Charuayporn Santhaweesuk, Vice President for Student Development and Alumni Relations, Dr. Piyanat Soikham, Assistant to the President for Academic Affairs and Mr. Natthanan Kaenket, Chairperson of the UBU Student Club served as panelists. Then, a video presentation of outstanding alumni was presented, followed by a special talk delivered by Associate Professor Dr. Chawalit Thinvongpituk, Vice President for Research, Innovations, and Academic Services, Ms.Piromporn Chaiyon, Vice-Dean for Administration, the Faculty of Law and Mr. Tawan Boonsong, Chairperson of the UBU Student Council, a video presentation of student annual accomplishment of the 2019 academic year (both national and international levels), and an animation presentation introducing services provided by the Student Development Division.

UBU congratulates the new students on their first steps to success at UBU and is very pleased to welcome all them to the UBU family. UBU hopes they will spend their time on campus valuably and productively and will be successful in their further studies.
