On 18 July 2020, the Faculty of Nursing at UBU organized a knowledge exchange activity entitled “Home Huk for Warm Families” at Udomchat Village, Meaung Srikai Sub-distrct, Warin Chamrap, Ubon Ratchathani Province. Mr. Thanin Chaiyanukul, Head of Warin Chamrap Public Health Offices presided over the event while the objectives of the project were reported by Assistant Professor Dr. Suree Trumikaborworn, Founding Dean of the Faculty of Nursing and head of the project. The participants were community developers, presidents of women's groups and members of temple board committees from 9 sub-districts in Warin Chamrap District. The event aimed to provide a space to exchange knowledge about family adjustment and adaptation post-Covid-19 and to build a “warm family” operating network and a working plan for sub-districts in Warin Chamrap District.
The activities consisted of a lesson review, participatory exhibitions and a seminar on “the role of temples and women's groups in the creation of Thai families in the post-Covid-19 era”. The seminar was delivered by the ecclesiastical chief of Mueang Srikai Sub-district, the abbot of Udomchat Temple, Ms. Duangporn Thanee and Ms. Petamorn Kathachai, presidents of Srikai’s women’s group, Mr. Tossapol Kraiphan, chief of Moo.4 Village, Mr. Thanin Chaiyanukul and Assistant Professor Dr. Suree Trumikaborworn while Mr. Noppa Panpeng served as the moderator of this discussion.
All in all, UBU sincerely thanks the keynote-speakers for sharing and delivering their invaluable knowledge to all participants. Also, UBU deeply thanks all participants for their attendance and participation and all supportersfor making this event happen.
