On 7 August 2020, the Faculty of Law organized an event in remembrance of HRH Prince Rapee Pattanasak, the father of Thailand's modern legal system (the Father of Thai Law). Mr. Kanpetch Chaitawib, Dean of the Faculty of Law, led the faculty staff members and students in laying awreath and garland to pay homage. Then, the Faculty of Law Student Club’s representative and student representatives from each respective year of study gave a speech of tribute to him. In addition to the commemorative ceremony, the faculty organized the 2020 scholarship presentation event. There were 27 scholarships given to the faculty’s students in the amount of 80,000 baht.

The Faculty of Law organizes the Rapee Day event every year on the 7th August. The aim of the event is to commemorate the passing of HRH Prince Rapee Pattanasak, the father of Thailand's modern legal system. During his lifetime, he famously dedicated a lot of time, energy, and effort toward the development of the Thai legal system and thus made invaluable contributions to the Thai legal system.  He was a jurist who always stood for honesty and uprightness. Additionally, he established the first official law school in Thailand where he created his own syllabus and even taught legal subjects to the students himself. Therefore, he was and still is accepted as the father of Thailand's modern legal system and is honored every 7th of August, which is officially and nationally known as Rapee Day.
