UBU Participated in the “Father of Royal Rainmaking” Day

On the 14th of November, 2020, Miss Mantana Jeuboon, Acting Director of Division of Administration, Office of the President, Ubon Ratchathani University and UBU staff participated in performing a fresh flower tray-laying for the “Father of Royal Rainmaking Day” 2020 at Ubon Ratchathani Provincial Hall. Mr Wiroot Wichaiboon, Vice Governor of Ubon Ratchathani, presided over the ceremony and led government and enterprise officers, charities, private organizations, and others, to perform a fresh flower tray-laying. The cabinet resolved on the 20th of August, 2002 to designate the 14th of November as the “Father of Royal Rainmaking Day”. This is  a memorial day for Thai people to demonstrate their loyalty and gratitude to His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej (King Rama IX) who invented artificial rainmaking which has helped people survive droughts ever since.
