Eligibility
Required Qualifications

To be eligible for the scholarship selection, the applicant must get accepted in the selection program and pay half of the tuition fee as a deposit. This amount of money will be refunded if the applicant is granted a scholarship.

The GPAX criterias are as follows:

Master’s degree scholarship: applicants must have completed a bachelor’s degree or equivalent, with a cumulative GPA of not less than 2.75 or not less than 70%.

Doctoral degree scholarship: applicants who have completed a master’s degree must have a cumulative GPA of not less than 3.00 or not less than 75%.
The Subcommittee shall review the qualifications of the scholarship applicants under this announcement and determine scholarship recipients through interviews or any other suitable selection method, in compliance with the criteria, methods, and conditions set by the Subcommittee.
Financial Support
Scholarship Coverage
Scholarship recipients under this announcement will be allocated funding for a duration not exceeding the curriculum framework, covering the following:
Tuition Fee Waiver Waived tuition fees in accordance with the Ubon Ratchathani University Regulations on Graduate Tuition Fee Rates.
Dormitory Fee Waiver Waiver of dormitory maintenance fees and other related dormitory charges. However, if the recipient wishes to stay off-campus, the university will not cover or allocate such housing expenses.
Visa Fee Coverage Annual visa fee coverage up to 1,900 THB per renewal.
Maximum of 2 renewals for master’s students, and maximum of 3 renewals for Doctoral students.

Master's Degree Scholarship Recipients
Master's Program in Plan A Type A1 (Thesis Based)

Passed the thesis proposal examination and received approval from the program coordinator within the second semester.

Completed all coursework as per the program's curriculum structure and submitted the draft manuscript for publication in an international academic journal. This journal must be indexed in a database recognized by the Office of the Civil Service Commission in Higher Education Institutions, and the manuscript must be approved by the thesis advisor within the fourth semester.
Master's Program in Plan A Type A2 and Plan B Professional Program

Maintain a GPA of not less than 3.00 in each semester.

Pass the thesis proposal examination and receive approval from the program coordinator within the third semester.

Complete all coursework as per the program's curriculum structure and submit the draft manuscript for publication in an international academic journal. The journal must be indexed in a database recognized by the Office of the Civil Service Commission in Higher Education Institutions, and the manuscript must be approved by the thesis advisor within the fourth semester.
Doctoral Degree Scholarship Recipients
Doctoral Program Type 1.1 Dissertation or Doctoral Thesis Only (for master’s degree holder)

Have one research paper published or accepted for publication in an international academic journal. The journal must be indexed in a database recognized by the Office of the Civil Service Commission in Higher Education Institutions, and the publication must be approved by the thesis advisor within the fifth semester.

The journal must be indexed in a database recognized by the Office of the Civil Service Commission in Higher Education Institutions, and the manuscript must be approved by the thesis advisor within the sixth semester.
Doctoral Program Type 1.2 or Doctoral Thesis Only (for bachelor’s degree holder)

Important Notice
Conditions for Scholarship Termination and Repayment
In the event that a scholarship recipient fails to comply with any of the conditions, the University shall terminate the scholarship starting from the subsequent semester following the date of discovery. Furthermore, if the recipient fails to meet the scholarship conditions for two consecutive semesters, they must repay the full amount of the scholarship received to the University, along with interest at the legal rate, calculated from the date the scholarship was first received.
If a scholarship recipient resigns during the scholarship period, they must repay the full amount of the scholarship received to the University, along with interest at the legal rate, calculated from the date the scholarship was first received.
If a scholarship recipient fails to graduate within the maximum timeframe of the curriculum (5 years for a Master’s degree and 6 years for a Doctoral degree), they must repay the full amount of the scholarship received to the University, along with interest at the legal rate, calculated from the date the scholarship was first received.
If a scholarship recipient is compelled to resign due to force majeure or other unavoidable circumstances that prevent them from continuing their studies, they must submit relevant supporting documents to the Subcommittee for consideration. The President, with the approval of the Committee, shall make the final decision.
If the University later discovers that a scholarship recipient lacked the required qualifications (either before or after receiving the scholarship), submitted false or forged documents, or concealed information that the University should have known, the President, with the approval of the Committee, shall revoke the scholarship. The student must return the full scholarship amount along with interest at the legal rate, calculated from the date the scholarship was received.
