Important Conditions for Scholarship Termination and Repayment
Failure to meet scholarship conditions: If a recipient fails to comply with any scholarship condition, the University will terminate the scholarship beginning in the semester following the date the non-compliance is discovered. If the recipient fails to meet the scholarship conditions for two consecutive semesters, the recipient must repay the full scholarship amount received, together with interest at the legal rate calculated from the date the scholarship was first received.
Resignation during the scholarship period A scholarship recipient who resigns during the scholarship period must repay the full amount of scholarship received to the University, together with interest at the legal rate calculated from the date the scholarship was first received.
Failure to graduate within the maximum curriculum timeframe A recipient who does not graduate within the maximum curriculum timeframe — 5 years for a Master's degree or 6 years for a Doctoral degree — must repay the full scholarship amount received, together with interest at the legal rate calculated from the date the scholarship was first received.
Force majeure or unavoidable circumstances If a recipient is compelled to resign because of force majeure or other unavoidable circumstances that prevent continuation of study, the recipient must submit relevant supporting documents to the Subcommittee for consideration. The President, with the approval of the Committee, will make the final decision.
Ineligibility, false documents, or concealed information If the University later discovers that a scholarship recipient lacked the required qualifications before or after receiving the scholarship, submitted false or forged documents, or concealed information that the University should have known, the President, with the approval of the Committee, will revoke the scholarship. The recipient must return the full scholarship amount together with interest at the legal rate calculated from the date the scholarship was received.
