Mission Statements

Department of Civil Engineering

Mission Statement

To produce graduates in Civil Engineering who possess comprehensive theoretical knowledge and practical skills, and are capable of applying them in professional practice. Graduates shall be imbued with virtue, ethics, and integrity, adhering to the professional code of conduct, and possessing a strong consciousness of good citizenship, committed to making constructive contributions to society.

 

Graduate Attributes

Upon completion of this program, graduates will possess the following competencies:

1. To possess knowledge and professional skills that meet the quality standards prescribed by the Council of Engineers and international standards, and to be qualified to apply for a professional license from the professional council.

2. To be able to practice in diverse branches and various types of work within the civil engineering profession, adapting knowledge and abilities to solve work-related problems through holistic thinking; to be capable of systematically identifying, improving, and rectifying issues in planning, calculation, construction, operation, supervision, inspection, testing, maintenance, and repair, while ensuring that outcomes are stable, strong, safe, beneficial, and environmentally conscious; or to be qualified to pursue postgraduate studies.

3. To be able to engage in lifelong learning to develop oneself and keep pace with new science and technologies; to co-create innovation based on wisdom for self-reliance and competitiveness; to be knowledgeable of their rights and serve as a "critical mass" for their affiliated organization or the nation, guiding and acting as a mechanism for significant and constructive developmental change, particularly through the use of intellect and critical thinking.

4. To be able to conduct oneself and adapt within a multicultural society while maintaining Thai identity; to be polite, humble, punctual, responsible, honest, virtuous, and adherent to professional ethics; and to possess strong interpersonal skills and a spirit of self-sacrifice.

5. To be able to communicate using the English language to pursue a career both domestically and internationally.
