The Student Club from the Faculty of Law at Ubon Ratchathani University participated in a project entitled “Creating Happiness by Fighting Floods” supported by Channel One 31 to restore Ban Pak Ya School, Phibun Mangsahan, Ubon Ratchathani, from November 23-28, 2022.

Dr. Nitilak Kaewchandee, the Dean of the Faculty of Law, noted that Ban Pak Ya School was one of the schools badly damaged by flooding, with water levels rising to more than two meters. The restoration consisted of repairing the electrical system, cleaning, and painting buildings, preparing teaching materials, improving the playground, and providing a vegetable garden for school lunches.

The Channel One 31 project, “Creating Happiness by Fighting Floods,” received money donated by people across the country, with many diverse boards, artists, actors, actresses, and news reporters from Channel One 31 participating. Many organizations such as the Rewat Phuttinan Foundation, Mah Boonkrong Rice (Thai Hom Mali Rice), CPALL, 7-ELEVEN, and TOA color, supported this activity. The 22nd Army Military Circle Ubon Ratchathani provided military transport vehicles for students and others throughout the six days of intense flooding.
