The Center for Public Education and Assistance in Legal Matters (CPEAL) at the Faculty of Law organized the 10th Human Rights Camp from 12 -14 December 2018 at the Faculty of Law, Ubon Ratchathani University. The objectives of the camp were toprovide knowledge about human rights to young people and to raise their overall awareness on the topic. The participants of the camp consisted of 85 high school students from various cities: Ubon Ratchathani, Amnat Charoen, Sisaket, Surin, Buriram, Kalasin, Roi Et, Nakhon Phanom and Mukdahan.

CPEAL was established in 2006 as a legal education service center that aimed to improve the quality of people’s life and to promote political reform and local governance. The canter also served as a legal aid to communities through various activities such as legal camps and seminars. They also provided knowledge to the communities through multiple accessible publications.

CPEAL has a strong belief that the participants of the camp will be able to apply legal knowledge to their everyday life and will help reduce the amount of human rights violations in Thailand’s future.
