UBU Organized a Workshop on Rubber Product Development

UBU, as a member of University Creative Counsel Network (UCCN) under the Innovation Hubs Project for Creating Innovation-Based National Economy under the Thailand 4.0 Policy, organized a workshop on Rubber Product Development from 19 to 20 January 2019 at the Office of the President Building, Ubon Ratchathani University. The aims of the workshop were to increase farmers’ income and to add value to their rubber products. There were 70 rubber farmers who participated in the workshop. Throughout the workshop, they were able to practice 4 different skills. On 19 January 2019, the participants were taught how to produce cream concentrated latex and how to conduct rubber product testing. The workshop was led by Asst.Prof. Chaiwute Vudjung, Dr. Sansanee Srichan, Pranee Nuinu, lecturers from the Faculty of Science at UBU, and 4 UBU students. On 20 January 2019, the workshop was divided into two sessions.  The morning session was Coloring and Designing of Rubber Products by Ms Thepin Kaewvorasoot, a lecturer from the Faculty of Applied Arts and Architecture, while the afternoon session was Rubber Product Market Development by Dr.Thumwimon Sukserm, a lecturer from the Faculty of Management Sciences.

Therefore, UBU will continue to run more projects and activities that will help strengthen peoples’ potential and promote more self-reliance for further sustainable development.
