On 20 February 2020, UBU was honored to welcome H.E. Mr. Em Sony, Director General of the Cabinet of the Senate President and Advisor to the Senate President, Cambodiaand executive administrators from the office on their visit to Ubon Rachathani Province. The meeting was held at Boontharik Meeting Room, the Office of the President Building, UBU. Assistant Professor Dr. Chutinun Prasitpuriprecha, President and Assistant Professor Dr. Chalermchai Wongrak, Assistant to the President for International Relations and Education warmly welcomed the delegation to the university. Afterward, Assistant Professor Dr. Chalermchai Wongrak, on behalf of the President, led a discussion on the possibilities of collaborative activities between the two institutions especially in regard to human resource development. Currently, the Office of the Senate President, Cambodia employs approximately 600 officers.With this large amount of staff members, they are interested in helping develop their skill sets through short training courses and potential further study at UBU. In lieu of this, H.E. Mr. Em Sony proposed the possibility of sending staff members to study at UBU. As a result, the two institutions agreed to develop a Memorandum of Understanding to help achieve this goal. The first draft of the MoU will be sent to the Office of the Senate President, Cambodia for their considerationbefore the official signing.
UBU is delighted to develop a formal partnership with the Office of the Senate President, Cambodia and hopes to help strengthen the skillsets of its staff members.
