The UBU Office of International Relations (IR) aims to support the international mission of the university. The 3 missions are:

1. Collaboration with universities and organizations both locally and globally to establish Ubon Ratchathani University as a global gateway for international relations.
2. Academic preparation for Ubon Ratchathani University faculty, staff and students for successful communication internationally.
3. Development of an operational framework to support teaching and learning and facilitating foreign students in their work at Ubon Ratchathani University.

The office achieves this by facilitating communication between the university and individuals and agencies outside of Thailand. Our principal focus is the universities in the Greater Mekong Sub-region (GMS): the National University of Laos, the National University of Battambang, and the Danang University. Relationships also exist with institutions in other parts of Asia, the United States, the United Kingdom, and Australia.
