Master of Arts Program in Mekong Regional Studies Philosophy
Philosophy
This program will help students to develop strong skills in researching the languages, societies and cultures of the Mekong Region, making area studies a methodology. Students will gain knowledge and the ability to critically analyze, synthesize, and describe linguistic, social and cultural phenomena in the region. They will also understand the diversity and identities of the people, society and cultures of the Mekong Region in relation to Asia and the wider world. |
Curriculum and courses
The program offers one route: Thesis – enrollment in at least 36 credits of courses (at least 24 coursework credits and 12 credits for a thesis) |
Program arrangements
The program runs on 2 normal semesters and 1 summer semester basis for two academic years. Courses are taught only on weekends (Not including the researching or independent study). |
Expenses
The two-year program costs approximately 100,000 THB, excluding expenses incurred from educational excursions in Thailand or abroad. |
